On April 7th, 2025 a dozen teams comprised of 55 town & village citizens  participated in The University of Buffalo's Regional Institute "Climate Challenge Game Night."  Sponsored by our Climate Smart Community Task Force with help from ACES (Aurorans for Climate & Energy Sense),  this event helped build understanding about actions that our community can take to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. 

 

The game also provided a means of gathering feedback about our town's priorities that will help inform a WNY comprehensive Climate Action plan. The teams competed for prizes in four categories. Winners were the East Aurora Cooperative Market, the Town Library, and East Aurora High School Students.  The following groups represented a dozen teams:
